Alison Laird

Driver of Innovation & Change

Alison spent more than a decade working with BigLaw questioning the status quo and getting lawyers to think outside of the legal box to deliver ‘different’. Using a clever combination of people, process and technology, she continues to collaborate with lawyers and professional services clients to develop bespoke solutions to strategic challenges.

Alison is an Advisory Board member for the Centre for Legal Innovation (CLI), Australia and was the Inaugural Chair of the Chief Innovation Officers Forum bringing together like-minded professionals driving change within their organisation. 

With more than 15 years working abroad, Alison is now based in Australia bringing her unique perspective to legal and professional services. She has worked for global law firms including DLA Piper and Pinsent Masons, and consulting positions including the Global Head of Change Management and User Adoption for Morae Global delivering transformational change initiatives. She has lived and worked in Beirut, Dubai, London, Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne. Alison is a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner and holds an MBA from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

Founded in 2017, Laird Innovations was established to help lawyers cut through the noise of a rapidly changing legal market crowded with BigLaw, NewLaw and LegalTech options.

By providing insight, intel and information, Alison helps legal teams drive the change required to deliver more time and cost efficient services using technology, improved process and smarter sourcing.
